After five fabulous years on Mt. Pleasant Road, LOLO has finally arrived home. A new, larger location brings LOLO close to the action of Yonge and Eglinton—with shopping, entertainment, nightlife and outdoor activities right at its doorstep.
LOLO’s founder, Louis Ourique, has made the new LOLO a reality. With about 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Louis is committed to providing an exceptional dining experience.
The new light and airy décor features relaxing neutral backdrops of dark wood and grey walls accented with striking damask wallpaper and quirky details like the chrome-and-crystal chandeliers above the bar. As on Mt. Pleasant, the front doors open to the street in summer; the new Yonge Street location also boasts a perfect patio from which to gawk at crowds of shoppers and street-life aficionados.
The reworked menu is Mediterranean-inspired, featuring many old favorites (e.g. Steak frites and Lamb shank) and some new additions (e.g. Cioppino—a Tuscan-style fish soup—delicious!). The new wine list has benefited from some fine Italian and French bottles. All baked goods, including LOLO’s famous sea-salt and rosemary foccaccia bread, continue to be produced in-house.
Honouring the long-standing LOLO tradition of combining excellent food, atmosphere, service and value, Louis looks forward to welcoming back regular Mt. Pleasant clients and making new friends in the neighbourhood. See you soon at LOLO!
